The Reviews for The Redeeming (2018) 1080p

Feel Good MovieReviewed byJames BeaudineVote: 7/10

Got to see this little gem and was quite a pleasant 1.5 hours.

Technically, well executed and the pace flowed. The actors showed dedication to their craft and at no point did they let their guard slip, true pros. Lots of thought and care went into this low budget film. Lots of low budget films fail because of shoddy workmanship, poor acting, poor camera, poor lighting, flaky script, etc, etc. But this film has none of those failures. Direction is crisp, music and sound also hit the right tone and it is atmospheric.

The film strangely reminded me of Someone Behind The Door (

Most films have their failings and if you picked any low budget film, you'll easily see them. However, this film had something I've not experienced in a long time and that is, it left me with a lasting good feeling :)

Am gonna keep an eye out for more films from this team, sure they will go from strength to strength.

A psychological thriller that weaves a compelling tale.Reviewed byrossreading-31493Vote: 7/10

On a dark and stormy night watch The Redeeming and you will be cleverly sucked into a film that will keep you riveted from start to finish.

The film conveys a palpable sense of intrigue that centers it and keeps it focused throughout. The story line weaves a plot that keeps you guessing as to what is really going on. The pace is spot on, allowing the watcher time to question what is happening and formulate their own answers to the odd behaviours of the two main characters.

The cinematography was excellent with the scenes believable and atmospheric. It is a credit to everyone involved that this was achieved on a very tight budget.

A cross between a Hitchcock thriller and Tales of the Unexpected a great combination.

Congratulations to the whole team on a great film that deserves and is sure to do well.

First class suspense with an economy class budgetReviewed byRichard DelanoVote: 7/10

The Redeeming manages to create the same compulsive immersive experience that a true page-turning suspense novel does. The slowly, but surely intensifying level of intrigue lends itself to inevitable comparisons with the Hitchcock classics. While the film never pretends to be anything other than low budget, the cinematography is at times striking and highly professional throughout. There are even some special effects that are seamlessly integrated and never detract from the high quality acting that is sustained from start to finish. Kudos to Brian Barnes in directing his first feature-length work and to all the team for the hard work that must have gone into creating the film!
